Weekly School Update 8/21/2025

Happy Thursday!

Welcome back!  It is wonderful to have our Saints back in the building — it has been quiet here over the last couple of months.  We did not have a ton of tears this morning (more tears from parents than kids today!), which is a great way to start the year.

Tomorrow we will be celebrating Mass as a school family again.  This is the only week that we will be going on Friday; beginning next week, we will be going to Mass on Wednesday.  This is important to note as students are not permitted to dress down for Mass (even if it is a birthday).  They are able to either dress down the day before or after, OR they can change after Mass.

Thank you all for your patience this afternoon as we tried to get students out of school.  It was difficult, as we did not want to put our Saints onto buses without being sure that they knew which bus they would be transferring to over at BMS.  Because of this, we did not want to dismiss our car riders or walkers yet.  Each day will be a little easier, and I am certain that by the middle of next week, we will be back to a very quick dismissal for bus riders, car riders, walkers, and extended day kids. Again, thank you for your patience with this.

We are looking for volunteers for the Parish Festival.  In addition to our Annual Chicken Dinner, there are lots of great additions to this year's Festival.  Please check out the attached flyer and reach out to Heidi Lambert if you are able to volunteer some time.

Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria.  The lunch menu for next week is chicken nuggets on Monday, walking taco on Tuesday, breakfast bagel on Wednesday, mini corn dogs on Thursday, and chicken Alfredo on Friday.   August lunch menu

NEWS WORTH REPEATING

Our uniform closet is so full.  Please come in and check out all of the free clothes that are available to you!  A shout-out to Gabby Hartshorn, who came in this summer (along with Maxwell) and organized the closet.  As you start going through clothes and donating things to the closet, please remember that our closet is stocked only with uniform clothes. Other clothes that you have to donate should be taken to Goodwill or to the clothing bins around town. Thank you for your help with that.

Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30 am for $1, which includes milk.

Please be sure to go into Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times. You are welcome to send a check or cash to the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
