Weekly School Update 9/3/2026
Happy Thursday!
It is good to be back in school. Tomorrow is our First Friday of the month here at school, so we will start the day off with Mass. The church will then be open for the entire day for Eucharistic Adoration, so at some point, all of our students and staff will head over to the church to spend a little bit of time with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Families are then invited to come to First Friday Devotions tomorrow evening, which include Adoration, prayer, and Benediction, from 5:30-6:30.
Just as a reminder, students are allowed to dress down on their birthday. However, if that birthday falls on a Mass day, students are NOT allowed to dress down for the day (they are permitted to change into casual clothes after Mass OR just wear casual birthday clothes on a different day).
Next Friday, September 11, is School Picture Day. This is not a dress-down day, but rather a day to dress UP for pictures. Jeans and jean shorts are not allowed. Leggings or yoga pants are not to be worn. Shorts should still be of an appropriate school length. Students are welcome to wear different pants or shorts with a different (school-appropriate) shirt for pictures. Tank tops are not allowed; shirts must have sleeves. Tennis shoes and/or dress shoes are permitted; Crocs, sandals, and flip-flops are not. Remember, this should be a dress UP day.
Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria. The lunch menu for next week is taco on Tuesday, French toast on Wednesday, corn dog on Thursday, and rigatoni on Friday. September lunch menu
See you at Mass this weekend!
NEWS WORTH REPEATING
Families are invited to come to First Friday Devotions on the first Friday of every month for a Holy Hour that includes Eucharistic Adoration, Evening Prayer, and Benediction. The next First Friday Devotions is tomorrow, Friday, September 4, from 5:30-6:30 pm.
Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30 am for $1, which includes milk.
With regard to after-school transportation...if there are changes in the regular way that your child will be going home, and you are aware of that before sending your child to school, please send a note in your child's folder and tell your child to give it to the teacher. Teachers will then hang that note by their door to serve as a reminder. If transportation changes need to be made during the school day, please call the school office before 2 pm to make that change. Calling later than that makes it difficult to get the child where you need them to be.
Attached to this email is a form explaining BoxTops for Education. Please read this over, then download the app, sign up, and choose our school. This will then earn funds for our school.
Please be sure to go into Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times. You are welcome to send a check or cash into the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
