Weekly School Update 9/10/2026

Happy Thursday!

On Tuesday, all of our students celebrated Mary's birthday together out in the pavilion.  It was fun for all of our Saints--preschoolers through grade 8.  Tomorrow, our fourth graders are going to Lyme Village for their Annual Pioneer Days, which will include a 9/11 portion due to this being the 25th anniversary.  Our sixth-eighth graders will be going to Bellevue's ceremony for 9/11 at Central Park tomorrow morning.

TOMORROW is School Picture Day.  This is not a dress-down day, but rather a day to dress UP for pictures.  Jeans and jean shorts are not allowed.   Leggings or yoga pants are not to be worn.   Shorts should still be of an appropriate school length.  Students are welcome to wear different pants or shorts with a different (school-appropriate) shirt for pictures.   Tank tops are not allowed; shirts must have sleeves.  Tennis shoes and/or dress shoes are permitted; Crocs, sandals, and flip-flops are not. Remember, this is a dress UP day.

We will be wearing House shirts again this year.  For those who had a House shirt last year, please check to see if it still fits.  If it does not, please order a new one.  All new students will also need a House shirt.  When choosing a size, please do your best to pick a size that may fit your child for a couple of years (order a size up, please).  We are grateful to a donor who is helping us to cover the cost of the shirts.  Forms came home with students today.

As we are now three weeks into school, please remember that parking in the main lot at drop-off time is not an option.  By now, parents should be able to pull up to the playground sidewalk, and kids should be able to get out and walk in alone.  If your child needs more time getting out, you will need to park across the street in the parking lot next to the pavilion.

Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria.  The lunch menu for next week is popcorn chicken on Monday, taco sticks on Tuesday, breakfast bagel on Wednesday, hamburger on Thursday, and pizza bagel on Friday.      September lunch menu

See you at Mass this weekend!

NEWS WORTH REPEATING

Families are invited to come to First Friday Devotions on the first Friday of every month for a Holy Hour that includes Eucharistic Adoration, Evening Prayer, and Benediction.  The next First Friday Devotions is  Friday, October 2, from 5:30-6:30 pm.

Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30 am for $1, which includes milk.

With regard to after-school transportation...if there are changes in the regular way that your child will be going home, and you are aware of that before sending your child to school, please send a note in your child's folder and tell your child to give it to the teacher.  Teachers will then hang that note by the door to serve as a reminder.  If transportation changes need to be made during the school day, please call the school office before 2 pm to make that change.  Calling later than that makes it difficult to get the child where you need them to be.

Just as a reminder, students are allowed to dress down on their birthday.  However, if that birthday falls on a Mass day, students are NOT allowed to dress down for the day (they are permitted to change into casual clothes after Mass OR just wear casual birthday clothes on a different day).

Please be sure to go into Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times.  You are welcome to send a check or cash into the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
