Happy Thursday!
This week was busy at ICS! Our seventh and eighth graders presented the Living Museum on Wednesday--we had Plato, Joan of Arc, William Shakespeare, and so many others in our gym.
Today, the big winners of the Rice Bowl competition had their pizza party. On Monday, ice cream sundae winners will receive their prize!
And, tomorrow is our Annual Fun Day, which always lives up to its name. The day starts with House Tug of War and ends with water balloons and slushies! Shout out to Tina Davis for all she does for Fun Day, and thanks to our parent volunteers who help to make this possible! The forecast for tomorrow is heat--so be sure to wear loose-fitting, school-appropriate clothes. Students are NOT permitted to share sunscreen, due to allergies and such. Bring a hat, sunglasses, etc., and definitely a water bottle (please label all items). If, by chance, we have rain, Fun Day will be moved indoors! Please see the attachment that was also sent home this week regarding the day.
We will have a School Mass next Friday, May 23, so don't save your dress down passes for that day.
Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria. The lunch menu for next week is macaroni and cheese on Monday, mini taco on Tuesday, lasagna on Wednesday, waffles onThursday, and popcorn chicken on Friday.
NEWS WORTH REPEATING
Our classes are filling up. In particular, our preschool is filling up rather quickly. If you are someone who is considering sending your child here for preschool next year (this includes current preschool families), you will need to get in the registration and the fee as soon as possible. We have a maximum capacity of 24 students at any time in the preschool room, and we already have some days that are completely filled.
Confirmation for next year's 8th graders will be in October (a change from the usual spring Confirmation time). Please see the attached letter with regards to this exciting news.
Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30am for $1 which includes milk.
Please be sure to go into Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times. You are welcome to send a check or cash to the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
