Happy Thursday!

Congratulations to our Saints who celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation last night.  We continue to keep those students and their families in our prayers as they move forward in their journey to their First Holy Communion.

Congratulations to the Bogner Family---they were the winners of the Calendar Raffle drawing (for every ten tickets a family sold, their name was entered into a drawing).  They won registration fees covered for the 2026-2027 school year!

Beginning tomorrow, students are allowed to wear their House shirt on any Friday with their uniform bottoms.

Next Wednesday, we will be hosting Read with a Grownup, Have a Donut.  All students should report to homeroom (gymnasium) at the usual time.  Grownups should then plan to arrive at approximately 7:35 to pick up family members from classrooms.  Families will then all head over to the church for a short prayer service with Deacon Jim.  Following the prayer service, we will head back over to the school to read a book together and have a donut.  Looking forward to seeing families!

Next week is Right to Read Week at ICS.  Please see the attached flyer regarding the fun that is planned.

Our Annual Reverse Raffle is Saturday, April 25, in the school gymnasium. This is our largest fundraiser, but in addition to being a fundraiser, it is a fun time for all!  Doors open at 5:30, with dinner (catered by Bubbarock!) served from 6 pm - 7 pm.  The main raffle begins after dinner; one lucky winner will take home the $10,000 grand prize.  There are thousands of dollars in other cash prizes awarded throughout the evening.  Tickets for the main raffle (which includes one dinner) are $100. Anyone purchasing a main raffle ticket by March 19 is eligible for the Early Bird Drawing. There is also a 50/50 raffle that evening, along with a TV and a grill raffle.  Tickets for those drawings are $5 each.  All tickets can be purchased at the parish office.   The winners of all of these drawings need not be present to win.

Option C MattMoney is, unfortunately, still unavailable.  Please remember that you are able to send in your Option C payment with your child (cash or check), and your account will be credited.  Here is the latest message from Option C regarding MattMoney:

We are hoping to have MattMoney running soon. Some unforeseen issues have arose outside of our control, which is causing a delay on turning MattMoney back on.

Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria.  The lunch menu for next week is chicken nuggets on Monday, walking taco on Tuesday, mini pancakes on Wednesday, corn dog on Thursday, and grilled cheese on Friday.     March lunch menu

NEWS WORTH REPEATING

All current students in preschool-grade 7 were given their 2026-2027 registration packets today.  Please look the information over, make corrections, and return to school along with the enrollment fee as soon as possible.  If you have younger kids that you would like to register for preschool, please reach out, and we can send home a packet to you.  Please remember that the scholarship renewals and the school registration packets are two separate things that both must be completed.

All current kindergarten through seventh-grade families received the scholarship forms for the 2026-2027 school year.  Please return those as soon as possible, to allow time to get the renewal process completed.  Please be sure to sign the forms, making any needed changes, and return them with a current utility bill.  The utility bill must show a service and mailing address.  The utility bill can be sent back in the envelope or emailed to Mrs. T at tokarsky.joy@icssaints.org

We will be having an Open House for new preschoolers and their families on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:30 -7 pm.  If you have a little who is now eligible for preschool (must be 3 by August 24, 2026), or if you know of anyone interested in coming to ICS for preschool, please plan to join us on March 11.  Miss Davis and Miss Sarah are excited to show off our preschool program.

Families are invited to come to First Friday Devotions on the first Friday of every month for a Holy Hour that includes Eucharistic Adoration, Evening Prayer, and Benediction.  The next First Friday Devotions is May 1, from 5:30-6:30 pm.

Immaculate Conception Church is currently seeking a sacred music minister.  This is a part-time or full-time position supervised by the Pastor. Responsibilities include forming and leading parish cantors & choirs in coordination with parish clergy; managing music-related administrative tasks like scheduling and budget oversight; directing training and rehearsals; maintaining instruments. The director plans and executes music for all weekend Liturgies, major feast days and solemnities, weddings and funerals, and other para-liturgical services throughout the year as scheduled. This role requires strong musical and organizational skills, a deep understanding of Catholic liturgy, and the ability to collaborate easily with parish staff, parishioners, and children.

For more information (or to apply with a resume, professional references, and audio samples of your work and printed materials you have put together), contact Fr. Beltz at pastor@icssaints.org / 419.483.3417.

Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30 am for $1, which includes milk.

Please be sure to go into Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times.  You are welcome to send a check or cash to the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
