Weekly School Update 11/6/2025

Happy Thursday!

Families are invited to come to First Friday Devotions on the first Friday of every month for a Holy Hour that includes Eucharistic Adoration, Evening Prayer, and Benediction.  The next First Friday is tomorrow evening, November 7, from 5:30-6:30 pm.

Deacon Jim is beginning to train new servers!  The qualifications are that a student must be Catholic, in at least 4th grade, and be available to serve at weekend Masses at Immaculate Conception. The training will take place next week--Wednesday, November 12, Thursday, November 13, and Friday, November 14, during recess.  Papers were passed out to all interested students.

We are close to kicking off sales for our Annual Basket Raffle. We still have a few days to fill.  If you or someone you know would be willing to donate a basket (valued at least $100), please let me know!  Ticket sales will begin the week of Thanksgiving.

Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria.  The lunch menu for next week is chicken nuggets on Monday, tacos on Tuesday, waffles on Wednesday, hot dog on Thursday, and pizza bagels on Friday.  November lunch menu

NEWS WORTH REPEATING

We have a full-time maintenance assistant opening at our parish.   This person helps the Maintenance Lead maintain the buildings and properties of the parish, ensuring that all indoor and outdoor facilities and grounds are safe, clean, neat, and appealing. This person will help the Maintenance Lead perform routine electrical, plumbing, and remodeling projects/repairs, general custodial work for all buildings, in addition to landscaping care, requiring the operation of heavy equipment like mowers and hydraulic lifts at times. Interested persons should send a cover letter with a detailed resume and professional references to  pastor@icssaints.org.

Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30 am for $1, which includes milk.

Please be sure to go into Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times.  You are welcome to send a check or cash to the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
