Happy Thursday!
DUE TO THE SNOW DAY, THERE HAS BEEN A CHANGE IN HOT LUNCH....TOMORROW (FRIDAY) WILL BE HAMBURGER, AND TUESDAY, JANUARY 21,WILL BE MACARONI AND CHEESE.
On Tuesday, our students who had earned Academic Honors for the second quarter were treated to breakfast. Congratulations to those students and thank you to our Student Council for planning this. This is a new reward here at ICS, and it is definitely something we hope to make a quarterly event for our junior high students.
Sunday, January 26-Saturday, February 1, is Catholic Schools Week. We have a lot of exciting activities planned for that week. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Continue selling those raffle tickets. We reached our second school-wide incentive--Sock Day! Our next school-wide incentive is a Shirt Day. I also pull a ticket each week and that seller wins lunch. An added incentive is that for every 10 tickets that a student sells, he or she will earn a Dress Down Pass. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria. Next week's lunch menu is macaroni and cheese on Tuesday (CHANGE FROM ORIGINAL MENU)
, French toast on Wednesday, mini corn dogs on Thursday, and spaghetti on Friday. January lunch menu
NEWS WORTH REPEATING
Our Annual Donuts with Grownups is scheduled for Friday, January 31, from 7:30-9am. Please be sure to RSVP (once per family) on the attached link. RSVP
Just a reminder that we do our best to go outside each day for recess. Please send your children to school with a jacket or coat, hat, gloves, etc. If a junior high student is wearing their hoodie as a jacket, he or she will be asked to remove it in the classroom. We will no longer be handing out hats and gloves to students without, as we need to be careful when sharing such things. This also teaches our students responsibility--when it is cold outside, it is important to come to school prepared.
Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30am for $1 which includes milk.
Please be sure to go in to Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times. You are welcome to send a check or cash into the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
