Happy Wednesday!
Due to report card pick-up scheduled for tomorrow and Friday, I thought it best to send this out today this week. Please pick up report cards between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. tomorrow or between 9 a.m. and noon on Friday. If your Option C balance is more than $50, report cards will not be released until that balance is cleared.
What a wonderful end to the school year--celebrating Mass with our school family one last time.
We have exciting news with regards to our staff. Mrs. Teresa Bogner is returning to ICS to teach third grade. Mrs. Bogner taught here previously (two different times!), and then spent the last several years at Norwalk Catholic School. She retired a year ago, but has decided to return to the classroom. Our kindergarten position has also been filled--Mrs. Erica Allen will be with our little Saints this fall. Erica is an ICS grad, her four children have gone to ICS (Jacob just graduated last week from here, and Joshua and Rachel are still here). Finally, our Title I position has also been filled with Shalee Butz. Shalee has been teaching at Bellevue Elementary and has now decided to join the Saint Family. We are so blessed to have these three wonderful teachers joining our staff!
In the report card envelope, you will find several other important pieces of paper as well. The first two are standard--next year's supply list and this year's MAP scores. This year, you will also find a letter from Father Al reminding us all that faith does not end just because the school year ends. Please be sure to get yourself to Mass every weekend, get to the Confessional, spend some time in prayer. A special invite to our student servers and lectors--we would love to see you at weekday Masses this summer--Deacon Jim and Father Al would love the help! Deacon Jim has offered a bonus to any kids that come to weekday Masses....if he is in attendance at Mass, he will get any kids a slushy after Mass! If you happen to come to a weekday Mass and he is not there, just be sure to drop him an email and he will owe you one!
Finally, the report card envelope also has a paper with revisions to the dress code. Please be sure to go over the changes as you are starting to purchase uniform clothes for the fall.
We will not be sending our Weekly Updates through the summer. However, we will occasionally send out updates as necessary. Watch the church bulletin for weekly updates.
NEWS WORTH REPEATING
Our classes are filling up. In particular, our preschool is filling up rather quickly. If you are someone who is considering sending your child here for preschool next year (this includes current preschool families), you will need to get in the registration and the fee as soon as possible. We have a maximum capacity of 24 students at any time in the preschool room, and we already have some days that are completely filled.
