Happy Thursday!

On Tuesday, our eighth graders traveled to Toledo for the Chrism Mass at Holy Rosary Cathedral.  They were able to witness the priests’ renewing their ordination vows (including our own Father Al), and then watch the blessing of the oils that are used throughout our diocese in the coming year.

We spent today on retreat in our Houses, preparing for and celebrating the Holy Triduum.  It began with a beautiful living rosary, with all of the kindergarten through eighth graders representing the prayers.  They then spent time with their Houses, praying and learning more about the Last Supper, rosaries, and the Stations of the Cross.  We ate lunches with our Houses today, and ended the retreat with a prayer service.  The hope is that the kids will come home and share with parents what they learned today, and will also encourage families to come to church this weekend for the various liturgical celebrations of the Easter Triduum.

This weekend, members of our Saint Family will become members of our church at the Easter Vigil.  We welcome Michiah (current fourth grader), her father, and her sister, and Tim (dad of Brynlee and Bexley) to our faith as they are baptized, and then,  along with Sarah (mom of Keira and Collin),  all will be confirmed and receive their First Holy Eucharist.  God is good!

Congratulations to the Ruhlman Family--they were the winners of the $500 Option C fees paid for 25-26!

Our Annual Reverse Raffle is only 1 week away.  Be sure to  purchase your tickets for the raffle and dinner, and plan to join us for a fun evening.  We are also looking for volunteers and donations of soda and water.  A flyer was sent home last week with more details.

Here is a special message from Deacon Jim regarding the Rice Bowls....

After this week's donations, we have exceeded $1100 given thus far as a school. Wow- You are helping to do Jesus' work in the world!

We will have one more collection the Thursday after Easter.  I have ranked the 3 divisions with some running commentary.

NEWS WORTH REPEATING

Our Spring MAP testing will continue next week for our younger students.  Your child's teacher will let you know when the tests are.  Please be sure that your child gets a good night's sleep before their tests and eats a good breakfast.

Our classes are filling up.  In particular, our preschool is filling up rather quickly.  If you are someone who is considering sending your child here for preschool next year (this includes current preschool families), you will need to get in the registration and the fee as soon as possible.  We have a maximum capacity of 24 students at any time in the preschool room, and we already have some days that are completely filled.

It seems that warm weather is upon us.  Keep an eye on the day's forecast, as we do our best to go outside for recess which is at 11 am.  That means that it may not be quite as warm as it is predicted yet when we are outside, so a light jacket is often necessary.

Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30am for $1 which includes milk.

Please be sure to go in to Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times.  You are welcome to send a check or cash into the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
