Happy Thursday!
Welcome back! On Tuesday, Deacon Jim chalked all of our classroom doors for the Epiphany. All of the students then took home a blessing kit--chalk and a prayer. Please keep sending your family chalk blessing pictures to tokarsky.joy@icssaints.org.
We will be handing out the Academic Awards for the second quarter tomorrow after Morning Announcements (approximately 7:45). All are welcome!
Our Annual Donuts with Grownups is scheduled for Friday, January 31, from 7:30-9am. Please be sure to RSVP (once per family). Here is the link.RSVP
Continue selling those raffle tickets. We reached our first school-wide incentive--Hat Day! Our next school-wide incentive is Sock Day. I also pull a ticket each week and that seller wins lunch. The winner this week was Hazel in preschool who is going to enjoy Wendy's tomorrow!
Hot lunch is available daily in our cafeteria. Next week's lunch menu is chicken nuggets on Monday, walking taco on Tuesday, breakfast cupcake on Wednesday, hamburger on Thursday, and macaroni and cheese on Friday. What is a breakfast cupcake? Similar to the pizza cupcakes we had earlier in the year (which the kids loved!), this one is made with bacon, egg, and cheese--kind of like a savory muffin! January lunch menu
NEWS WORTH REPEATING
Just a reminder that we do our best to go outside each day for recess. Please send your children to school with a jacket or coat, hat, gloves, etc. If a junior high student is wearing their hoodie as a jacket, he or she will be asked to remove it in the classroom. We will no longer be handing out hats and gloves to students without, as we need to be careful when sharing such things. This also teaches our students responsibility--when it is cold outside, it is important to come to school prepared.
Breakfast is available daily for all of our students from 7:00-7:30am for $1 which includes milk.
Please be sure to go in to Option C to check your balance and do your best to keep the total below $50 at all times. You are welcome to send a check or cash into the school in an envelope labeled with your child's name and Option C.
